Skoda Connect Issue

Featured Replies

Hello All,

Newbie here, Superb IV Tech driver and loving the car got it November last year after having  Toyota CHR for 3 years.

I have had a few minor issues with the connect system which seems to temperamental at best.

Was working fine up until 19th Jan then nothing no updates etc in the android app it constantly shows fully charged etc

Today I cleared the cache and logged out and back in again and it took ages to reload the car to the garage however on both the App and the portal the information in the dashboard is wrong (and different in both) range on portal is different from the app !!

The app randomly indicates the vehicle is in offline mode then seems to be ok, but is unable to receive or send info to the car which given the current weather is a pain as turning the aircon on remotely was one of my fav things when headed out to work in the cold mornings. *Keyworker (as everyone seems to be this lockdown :-) )

Any ideas ???

Jim

I have an Android phone and I have had several issues when the App releases a new version. today I downloaded version 3.7.3 from playstore and all works fine.

So Current Situation is

Have contacted Skoda

Have tried to delete user account and reset the head unit to factory settings cant delete account but can factory reset the unit however I dont get forced to register the keys etc as per when I first got the car

Have changed SPIN

The account will not load on head unit whether I am connected to the eSim or my WIFI

The online portal and app allow me to log in

This problem has to be the head unit

I get no option to choose another user when switching it on

The deleted account (my original one still shows as in the head unit from the delete accounts menu) and it will not let me fully remove it.

Absolutely fed up with car manufactures and the half-baked software they use, my previous car Toyota CHR, the head unit was a complete mess it was like using a 2010 android tablet total junk !!!!!!
