PDC Parking Module Software update?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am trying to add front sensors to my Rapid 2016. I am at a stumbling block with the Parking Module. I need 5Q0919294K but can only get a second hand one from a different Skoda to my Rapid. The problem I have is that the parameter file installed in these is for cars with 4 reverse sensors and 4 front but my car only has 3 rear sensors. Is anyone able to update the model if I buy one or can point me in the direction of who would change the software for the Rapid?

Hope that makes sense - I only have access to ODB11 unfortunately.

Thanks for any advice

Nath

ODIS or VCP can flash software and datasets, the harder part is finding the dataset...

Where are you based?

There are a few VCP owners on the forum so if you find one close, they should be able to check which datasets they have access to.

Otherwise, there are a few companies that have access to ODIS who may be able to help. Including some that can do remote help if you have the right hardware :)

Hi I am in Wolverhampton West Midlands. I should imagine the data set will be hard to come by due to not many UK Rapids having the front sensors specced. It seems they were more common abroad but getting someone to ship one because of brexit is becoming a nightmare. I found a module off a Rapid abroad but they flat refuse to ship to the UK now.

Best bet is to contact a few VAG retrofit specialists to see if any can tweak the module if you post it to them. Lockdown restrictions means most are probably too far away to travel to.

https://www.vw-retrofit.co.uk/ seem to be closeish but I've never dealt with them.

Thanks for the link. I contacted them and just had an email back saying they couldn’t help unfortunately. I am wondering now if the same part used on the ibiza or fabia would work as they too have 3 rear sensors and 4 front. I suppose it is worth a try.
