Fabia 1.4 16v Bbz sound in crankcase breather

Featured Replies

Hello friends, my name is chris and I wanted to tell you about a problem that I have been having with my fabia, when I start it it makes it perfect without problems but after driving it or idling for 10-15 minutes it turns off if I do not accelerate it, when that happens I have I have to wait 45 more minutes so that I can turn it on again, I have used vagcom and I only have a B1 S1 lambda probe error, but I do not think that is my cause of the problem, the throttle body and EGR are clean and adapted, spark plugs new, changed a while ago the air filter and breather valve of the crankcase, because a hose broke and I decided to change everything, but from there my problems began I hear a sound like suction or expulsion of air in the small hole that is in the diaphragm cover of the vent, when that happens after a few seconds it turns off, before I thought I had an electrical problem or something like that but I think my problem has to do with gases or vacuum, one of the photos that I uploaded belongs to friend Wino, thanks for  your contribution.

It's your Lambda probe because the engine is stalling when it goes into closed loop once it's hot enough.

Try blocking that hole on the PCV with fingertip. Do you feel suction?

You should not.

Hello Wino and Sepulchrave ..thanks you first of all for your help, when I put my finger in the hole of the breather, there is a slight suction but after a few minutes of starting the engine, there is a strange sound from the breather some vibration too, this is my last  vagcom session and I still have the same problem if not I keep it accelerated it turns off in idle ... thanks to all
