Radio problem!

Featured Replies

My Bolero has been working fine up until a few weeks ago. Came back to the car and started driving it home and noticed the clock was not showing. Turned unit on and just got start up screen and radio playing I was unable to adjust volume or anything. After about 30 seconds it would reboot (go blank then logo screen appeared) still only showing logo and plays radio .
Got home removed fuse 8 and still the same.
Disconnected battery still the same.
Reversing sensors still work but no display.
Now and then I can control the volume (stuck on same station).
No Bluetooth connection.
No radio display in the matrix.

Maybe a forced firmware reset needed @Pab567 any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Richard.

@pab567 any advice please on my post above. Was thinking of a firmware update but I don't have the SW version or anything. Would it be possible to force a standard firmware without anything showing on the screen? If so please can you send so I could try.

Thanks

As there are multiple versions of Bolero pls share exac model number.

Bad news. Typical root cause for such behaviour is faulty eMMC. There is a special procedure, called emergency update, that might help - the problem is that I don't hae any frmware for your unit and I kno nobody who has it :(

@pab567 Thank you so much for trying to help me with this. So unfortunately it looks like a new head unit (sounds expensive) or maybe a aftermarket one. Will take a trip to my local Skoda dealer and see how much.

Thanks again.
