R.P.M fluctuating

Featured Replies

You need to tell us more about the reason you felt the need to change the distributor and also what other related parts you removed or checked in the process.

For now all I can say is that the only thing (partly) related to your issue is that the RPM input signal is coming from a wire on one terminal of the ignition coil.

One other thing. The title of your topic is misleading. It is not the RPM of the engine that fluctuates but only the indication of RPM on the tachometer.

Thanks Mr. Ricardo kind reply

the issue was problem in high speed the car was cutting off with high rate and never able to go more than 90 km/hr

1- changed the Spark plugs and cables

2- changed the distributor

3- Complete cleaning for carburetor

now the car is fine but still having the above problem ,,,, the distributor type is VIKA (Chinese made)

Have you removed the instrument cluster?

You should avoid VIKA,it's a very cheap made products brand.

Did you done a check via your OBD port recently?

Your throttle is clean?

Did you remove the panel?
