Seat Issues

Featured Replies

Got a new Octavia SE-L First Edition with heated seats, however I've had 2 issues with them so far:

  • The passenger seat heating seems to randomly turn off. Could be anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. I've been told that they turn off when they get up to temperature, however I don't believe that's the case after only 30 seconds or so.
  • Twice I've had the "proactive occupant protection system" come up as having had an error, accompanied by the seat belt warning light and sound which won't turn off until you turn the car off and restart it.

I took it to the dealer yesterday and funnily enough they couldn't replicate the issue (as usual) and no work was done on it. Apparently there were no error codes stored for it either which is unhelpful. Anyone experienced either of these?
