Remap, big improvement.

Featured Replies

Just had my car remapped by remapkings and the difference is night and day.

You can feel the extra torque starting low down in the rev range , much quicker and a big improvement.

Only other change is replacing the air filter with a standard replacement k@n filter, also running on 99 momentum.

The car is a 2014 1.2 tsi and was 85hp, now in the region of 130hp.

Have you noticed any difference in fuel consumption?

We had our old 1.9tdi Roomie Scout remapped and it made a huge difference.

Never bothered about economy, I was having too much fun :)

Ca6, a small but noticeable improvement.

How come your car was 85bhp? Our car is also a 2014 1.2  TSi and it is 105bhp? I thought they were all 105bhp.

When we got ours it was two years old and I am sure it had been remapped. I exhibited much stronger low down torque but the DSG was quite ill behaved. We asked the Skoda dealer to investigate and they did a reprogrammed with a new software version. It came back with a reduced torque, more buzzy, poorer fuel consumption but a beautifully smooth DSG.

a few years later we got it back from a service and they had done something again. Even my wife noticed and she can drive on flat tyres without detecting it. It was obvious it had been reprogrammed yet again. Even more buzzy, higher revs before changing up, slight decrease in economy and a bit limp when accelerating at motorway speeds. It’s a bit as if the engine is being denied fuel briefly when you want to get up to speed on the slip road.

They came in 70, 85 and 105 ps.  After 2017 there was Service Campaign 34H5 started on DQ200 DSG,s from 2013 to 2015.  This was a software update.  This is different from 34F7 on DQ200,s from 2009 to 2012 which was synthetic oil changed to mineral and a software update

Our 63 reg is 86bhp. Skoda ran special editions for £9996 in 2013 but only two colours: Pale Blue and Briliant Silver with the lower output engine. It was a £4400 saving over list price but they came with aircon, panny roof, parking sensors, disc brakes on rear wheels and the lower insurance: great value
