Fabia heater thermostat knob only blowing hot air

Featured Replies

Just a quick one, when I set the internal temperature the blower is either cold (fully closed in the Blue) or hot (one click towards 18)

How do I get it just blowing warm air?

Am I doing something wrong or is it broken?

At least the flap motor is working, if you set the temperature to 20, it should blow hot air initially then gradually move the flap until it's just warm, perhaps you're not waiting long enough.

Thanks so much, I’ll try it tomorrow then I’ll post what happens (I’ll use a digital thermometer & get an accurate reading) 👍

I set mine to about 20, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Sometimes it will start working randomly.

Switching it backwards and forwards sometimes works.

I am resigned to it, it's a Fabia and it is probably an electrical fault and it's only to be expected.

On the heater control panel there is a temp sensor and a tiny fan behind the little grille. You might have a problem with that. Check it's not clogged up with dust.
