1.4 tsi without ACT?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Thinking of buying a 17 plate Superb S 1.4 TSI 125PS in manual. I took it for a test drive and I loved it but I could not see that "2 cylinders off" info on a dash while driving. Is it possible not all 1.4 TSI engines have ACT?

Hi, the 123bhp version doesn't have ACT, 148bhp version does

Thanks for your reply.

Im guessing there is not much sense in going for the 123bhp one as the 148bhp is more powerfull and having ACT more econimical?

the ACT version has a claimed 56.5mpg and 116g/km of CO2 – 4.2mpg more and 9g/km less than the 123bhp 1.4.

also if you get the 123bhp one, you are limited to the most basic "S" trim level

I have the 148hp 1.4 and the engine is very good. Everyone who travels in it can't believe it's  only 1.4. It is extremely economical and for me the power is enough to keep up a good average speed.
