Has anyone managed to remove the blanking plate which is now in the glove box where the old SD / CD player was? As pictured its there if you have the new MIB3 radio...frankly I miss the ability to use SD and my own SIM card. Whatever! One of my few gripes is that the Superb glove box is small  and I was hoping for extra space...but I can't remove it, and this week my garage (in for first service on iV) said they couldn't either.

It's not a blanking plate - it's the front of the MIB3 headunit...

Yes, it’s not a plate. If you listen, you can hear the unit whirring when using the sat nav etc.

 

plug yiur SD card through a reader and use the socket in the glovebox
