Traded in my 2009 octavia today and Pick up my new ( second hand ) Karoq today and when I got it home an stopped it a message came up about my safelock?

Anti-theft device on VAG vehicles. When you lock the car if someone breaks a window they can't open a door by pulling on the door levers.

It’s a reminder that if you leave someone in the car, and you lock the doors the deadlocks are deployed and they won’t be able to get out using the interior handles.

I locked the car leaving my wife inside while I went shopping once, not only couldn't she escape the alarm kept going off. She was not amused when I returned.

Know the feeling - it is still known as the Sainsbury's incident!!!  She is still claiming I did it on purpose!
