Can any one help me locate the crankshaft sensor on my 1.4 16v fabia? Cant seem to find it anywhere

I think it's down the back of the engine near the starter motor, can't quite recall, they don't generally give any trouble though so you might be looking for a wiring fault.

Find the dummy speed sensor on the differential and then feel your way forward onto the back of engine block a few inches forward of it. 

Challenging access.
