Spacers pics with 19" wheels?

Featured Replies

Hi from Italy!

I would like to add spacers in a 20201 Octavia RS with oem 19" wheels.

Someone has to show me some pics and recommend dimension ?😃

Thanks for the help and sorry for my bad English!

This one is lowered with Eibach springs and has front spacers 10 mm per wheel and back spacers 15 mm per wheel.

Many thanks!

Awesome look.

For you There is enought space for go 5mm wider (front and rear) or this is the maximum for stay in line with the wheels arches?

This car is not mine. So I can't tell you exactly. But this is how it looks from the back.

That looks cool, I'm waiting for my grey RS with black 18 inch rims, anyone has seen pics with spacers on similar setup with stock suspension? I'm considering 15mm spacers per wheel.

Sorry, didn't notice any with 18" wheels and with spacers.

Hey,

this guy from Croatia tested the red ocravia rs with eibach spacers fitted - in my opinion it looks really good.

So this is 20mm front and rear! Nice.

Now this is how it should come from factory.

I ordered mine with black R18, for better ride quality, but i am pretty sure i will look for some decent aftermarket option, since all OEM rims do look awful in my opinion.

I am actually currently considering making an order to get Eibach spacers front 15mm and back 20mm.
Or should I go both 20mm ?

Stock wheels for now, no lowering for now.

OK so I have decided to give it a go: 10mm front, 15mm back and Eibach springs with DCC and 19inch OEM wheels (same as in pic above).

I hope my setup will look just as good as setup above (in my opinion it looks exactly perfect) and I hope I will still be able to drive 2 adults in the back as well as feel some DCC comfort (not all of it but at least difference between modes).

Not that expensive and if something will not fit - I will have spare parts to sell haha :D

Are you sure you can just swap springs on a car with a DCC

Where I used to live were couple of speed humps, and owners of lowered cars used to look like so uncool trying to pussyfoot over the bumps at about half a mile per hour.

People would always look, either because the person behind would honk in frustration at their slowness, or the screeching sound as the spoilers scraped the surface.

Still if people enjoy looking like uncool idiot, let them lower their cars.

I have read forums here (superb, kodiaq) as well as Golf R and GTI forums abroad - seems like Eibach Pro lowering springs are good to go and keeps the DCC Comfort at nice level.
Of course, over the time shocks have a little bit more tension.
As Eibach lowers only 10mm back and 20mm front - I think they are safe bet (but if I would add HR lowering springs that lower 40mm - that could be a different story for my shocks and dcc).

aha ok. That sounds great. Thanks for explaining.

Yeah, here are the threads about lowering springs with DCC (some posts and pics with DCC and Eibachs):

On this thread you can see that DCC needs recalibration, but her Octy is lowered with HR 40mm both sides (which is a lot in my opinion). Other guy states he drove 30k with Eibach Pro Kit and DCC without an issue (Eibach lowers 20mm front 10 mm back).

And also here:

Hey! A little update on this topic:

I have ordered Eibach spacers 15mm for back and 10mm for the front.
Also I have ordered these new DCC compatible H&R Sport lowering springs.
I will add this setup on stock R19 wheels and post a pic how it looks :)
Springs will arrive in 3weeks..

Should be similar to this, as I got same springs. Just different wheels.

Nice!

Please update us once you have everything on the car.

It has been a while now, do we have anyone with r18 and lowering springs? please share pictures
i am tempted to get Eibach kit but prefer to stay with r18 we have very poor roads

19s here...

I got 12mm front and back and i like it.

The car is just too elegant for 15mm spacers that go flat vs the wheel arch (typical sport cart).

And it's on H&R springs so the arch feels closer due to the lowering.

Hi how low down did you take it with the h+r springs

Didn't measure but I'd guess another 15mm drop vs stock RS springs

Oh sorry I taught you said ya had h+r springs fired aswell

15mm front, 20mm rear.

However, I'm unsure if the rear is too much do have ordered another pair of 15mm's to try

Thanks a lot for info I’m thinking 15mm all round so to play it safe… all I need to sort next is lowering springs I’m not sure how much to bring it down. H+R are the only company that make them as afar as I know
