Removing coolent temperature sensor on felicia 1.3mpi simos 2p

Featured Replies

Hello, I am in the process of fitting a felicia 1.3mpi engine in to a different car and as a result it is also going to be using a different radiator...(one with a 22x1.5 thread for its coolent temp sensor) am I right in thinking the simos 2p temperature sensor is a push in joby and not threaded ?

So my main question is... If I just don't plug a coolent temp sensor in to the engine loom will the ecu throw a wobbly or will I be alright?

Or would it be possible to fit one of the earlier two pin threaded sensors?

Or I'm open to any suggestions you might have haha

Thank you in advance for any advice given 👍

Rob

It is not clear if you're talking about the coolant temperature sensor (pushed in the thermostat housing and sealed with an o-ring) or about the radiator fan thermo-switch (screwed in the lower part of the radiator).

All is well now haha.
