1.4 tsi waste gate actuator

Featured Replies

Been having problems with fluctuating boost, so have replaced the diverter valve and n75 boost solenoid. Unfortunately these have not solved the problem, so I suspect its the turbo waste gate actuator. Have called TPS and they say that the actuator can't be bought separately... Does anyone know if the golf 1.4 tsi (with same power output) will work or is there a reliable after market alternative?

Thanks, Drew.

I assume it's the 122bhp (CAXA) engine?

There are lots of actuators on the bay.

It would help identify the correct part if you provided year of car, engine code and turbo model fitted.

It is. From what I've read it is one of the few (or only) tsi engines that the actuator isn't available separately from the dealer.

I see loads on eBay for the CAXA engine.

Hi Drew, I believe that I may have a similar problem with my Octy 1.4 TSi - can you describe the symptoms you were getting?
