Clock spring

Featured Replies

So my clock spring broke last night.  Done a scan and OBDeleven saying part no. is 5K0953569B, can't find any for sale with the B, plenty of others with different letters at the end.  Tried to order one but the seller would sell as they've searched using my reg and only the 5K0953569AL or 5K0953569H will work.  Does this sound right? I have a backup of the coding which I will use on the replacement, I presumed the letter would either be a manufactured date identifier or installed coding.  Not sure what to do now?

I'll answer my own question; you do need a compatible unit, there are charts on the net that you can cross reference the codes for compatibility.
