  1. Well after three years of 3.6 loveliness it's time to move on. Circumstances have changed, I wanted something different and a Volvo XC70 fitted the bill. I'm going to really miss the 3.6 engine, it's a lovely unit and feels just as strong as the day I got it. I wont miss the fuel bills and road tax! All the best and thanks for any help/advice given.
  2. I'd get OBDeleven, it's dearer than a simple scanner but you can do so much more with it.
  3. Very likely it's the compressor. I had mine replaced by a local air con specialist, wasn't cheap though.
  4. Wish these would work with the Skoda Sound System 😠
  5. Mine does this and I can condensation blowing out when I give it full beans and red line it. All fluid levels spot on, doesn't use anything, I just think the exhaust hold moisture from lots of short journeys.
  6. My first thought is they didn't replace like for like on the clock spring. The replacement needs to be the same part code or one that has superseded it, you can't just code any module. Have a look at the link below, it's a minefield: Clock spring codes
  7. Panoramic roof. A truly terrible piece of engineering.
  8. It's quite straight forward: https://www.instructables.com/Å KODA-Superb-MK2-door-panel-removal/ Follow the above plus remove the interior panel covering the inside of the wing mirror (three clips I think). Unplug the mirror, there's some sound insulation that needs removing and unscrew the wing mirror. Fitting is the reverse.
  9. Then get a tyre with a 91 rating. There isn't much between the Superb and a Golf of the same age when it comes to weight.
  10. That's the maximum weight allowed when fully loaded and it's actually 2297kg on mine. The kerbwight plus the standard 75kg person is 1736kg for mine so a 2wd 1.8 is going to be at least 150kg less than that.
  11. Two tonnes? don't know where you've seen that but they're nothing like that; my 3.6 V6 with 4x4 and DSG comes in at 1660kg so you could probably knock at least 150kg of that for yours. I find the 18" fine, I use Cross Climate tyres.
  12. Try drying out the struts. I propped the door open, removed the struts hung them upside down for a while and then sprayed contact cleaner inside them. Been spot on since and I had exactly the same problem as you.
  13. Sorry, mines the estate I forget the saloon is actually a hatch.
