MIB3 - does anyone have volume control issues?

Featured Replies

Five months / 1100 miles into ownership and I seem to have my first bug. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same?

I drive off this morning, the infotainment continues to play Spotify from when I last switched off the car. I use the steering thumb-wheel to increase the volume - nothing happens. I decrease the volume and that works. I try to increase volume and nothing happens. I go to touchscreen and it's the same thing - I can only decrease the volume, I can't increase it.

I cycle the infotainment power switch on/off  - it seems to have no effect. I stop the car, switch off engine, start again and everything is back to normal for the remainder of the journey. I'm coming home this afternoon and the volume is working perfectly OK for most of the journey, then all of a sudden the same thing happens - I can't increase the volume via steering wheel control nor touchscreen. However this time a power on/off of the system works without having to stop/start the engine, and I can increase the volume again.

Seems weird this issue should just appear today after 5 months ownership. I use the volume control everytime I'm in the car - never had an issue.

I have had the volume go whacky in my MIB2, a restart of the unit fixed it (hold in the power button until it reboots).  Maybe same thing in yours.

Symptom was volume was really slow to react to input, ended up muted and couldn't turn it back up.

I’ve had similar problems after using Spotify via CarPlay.
It’s just technology. Great when it works....

I've experienced this a few times recently when playing Spotify through Android Auto. I switched to the radio and the volume controls started working properly again.

Smanjujem glasnoću i to djeluje.

Koristim kontrolu glasnoće svaki put kad sam u autu - nikad nisam imao problema.

i have the same problem skoda octavia 3

Hi.  I have the MIB 3 Columbus with wireless Android Auto. I have experienced that the volume control on the steering can only increase or decrease the speech volume but not the music volume when Android Auto/Spotify is playing. Had to fiddle around with sound, media, radio and even switch it off before I can get back the music volume control on the steering wheel. Anyone experienced this as well? Any good solution?
