When I try to start my skoda the rev dials do their little dance and the glow buld sign is flashing. When i turn key i just get a click, nothing else. Battery and terminals seem fine. various fuses look OK.

I have a Ethernet-> ODB dongle thing that I used for BMW but unsure which software to use for Superb in case I can scan for faults etc...

The flashing glow plug is indicating a fault, really need a diagnostic scan to find out what is wrong.

 

You could try jumping a wire direct from battery positive to the starter solenoid with the ignition on.

It will force the starter to operate ( unless that is the problem ) & might just start the engine. ( Ensure the gearbox is in neutral first )

I didn't try jumping the wire yet...is the solenoid visible/accessible without dismantling parts?

 

In the meantime, I got a cheap ODB 2 tool and car has 4 similar codes:

It was the starter motor in the end, mechanic replaced it.
