Hatch side trim removal technique?

Featured Replies

Any tips on how to remove the large side trims from the hatch boot?

I know there is a screw behind the hook, and a few along the floor, but are there any more, and do the plastic parcel shelf trims need removing as well?

Wow, absolutely brilliant, thank you!

Forgot to point out the screws (2 I think) on the plastic trim that holds the parcel shelf in addition to the metal clips

To clarify, C pillar trim has to come off, and the plastic shelf and large side trim are actually joined and are removed as one?

Thanks dude, really helpful. Above and beyond. Your wife must be delighted with what you've done to the living room!

And it'll stay there until I get all the parts for TV tuner retrofit and virtual pedal retrofit together, I don't fancy putting the interior back just to pull it again 😂

I should probably do some sound deadening with brown bread or whatever the latest stuff is while I'm at it

Sound deadening is what I am up to. Done most areas and have some left, may as well do behind those trims.

Wheel arches and door cards are some of the main areas apparantly. I also read about using the rubbers on suspension towers from an audi or passat or sth, the logic being that mechanical transmission of noise is the first thing to look at. Presume you found all the existing threads on the topic?

Yup, read all the threads, have done bonnet, boot, b pillars, under rear seat, wheel arches. This is one of the few areas left!

Let me know if you happen to have a list of materials I can copy! Thx
