Don’t update ObdEleven 1.4.9

Featured Replies

Updated mine this morning and it’s now just kicking back to the home screen whenever I try to open the app.

Just updated again with 1.4.10 and now all working again.

My version is still 0.35.0, and was updated on 14th March 2021!!

I can’t answer that, unless it’s a region thing. They put out 1.4.9 yesterday morning and it stopped the app working entirely. They must have been inundated with emails and complaints, as a new update came out later on last night which sorted the issue.

Android and iPhone have different app versions.

At a guess you're on Android and the op is on iOS 😉

How odd. I see my app describes itself as "OBDeleven PRO diagnostics app VAG OBD2 Scanner" but seems to be the only version offered in the Play Store. I wonder if they've a different app for later Android versions? I'm on Android 9.

I wondered about that, but thought I remembered complaints that it was an Android only app. But that would explain it :)

Chris

I think it was Android only to start as the dongle only supported Bluetooth. They released a newer dongle with WiFi so iOS devices could use it too.

The op screenshot certainly looks like iOS and when I checked the Android store on my phone running Android 11 it showed 0.35.

Apologies. In my haste to avoid anyone else being left with an unusable app I neglected to say it was on the apple App Store and using iOS. Sorry for the confusion!!
