Estate boot chrome letters

Featured Replies

I had a small incident with a skip in my cr170 tdi. I'm getting the boot resprayed and need some help sourcing the chrome and red tdi and Superb lower case letters?

Does anyone have a source for a Mark II superb?

Many thanks

Dealer is probably the most straightforward option.

Thanks chimaera.

Backstop at £35 for tdi and £35 for Superb.

A bit pricey £70 all in.

Though there maybe some non Skoda copies available?

Seems ok for Audi or VW.

Are the old ones not reusable?

Thanks for this.

Any tips how to remove without damaging?

Thanks again

I think I read somewhere that dental floss is good for peeling badges off paintwork. Work it side-to-side under the badge sort of like a cheese wire.

It also helps to warm up the letters with a hair dryer to soften the glue. If you use a hot air gun be careful not to overdo it.

Thanks both. Worked like a dream. Hairdryer for a few seconds, lifted off .

Thanks both again, saved me some £££s.

Well done. Now you just have to get them back on again in a straight line and equally spaced.
