Ocatvia IV - some problems

Featured Replies

Hello,

I picked up my new Octavia IV 4 weeks ago. I was really excited, but in this short period I collect two nice problems:

1. after two days water in the headlights. Replaced under warranty.

2. after 3 weeks the central touchscreen is totally green, today I opened the complaint. I found out that Skoda does not guarantee a replacement car.

I am really disappointed as my expectations have completely vanished.

At this point I don't know what could be the next steps or problems.

What do you suggest?

Hi Janis,

thanks for your qucik replay.

I don't know exactly  what's going on but I'm quite sure: "it's hardware"

Had this kind of a problem using Waze via CarPlay but it happened only one night two times in a row a week ago (the car is 5 mo old). Hopefully it will not be a problem again.

@cigaro thanks to share your experience.

In my case the "green" area is permanent.

did you see any other issues? With sensor o Adaptivr Cruise Control, line assist, rain sensor, parking sensors or other?

Thanks

Adaptive cruise control works like a charm, line assist is very agressive and sometimes annoying. Rain and parking sensors are doing their job. Have issues only with infotainment system using carplay - issue that is on the picture + every now and then get the black screen if trying to start carplay and then it needs to be restarted.

Had the issue with matrix lights also but the dealer said that the lights were set too high and they lowered them. Oncoming cars don’t flash now but imho left headlight is now set too low.

Hello guys I'm a new owner of an Octavia IV...nice car but unreliable electronics...too many infotainment & software glitches. Freezed infotainment once or twice...workshop said that caused due to an update that wanst the best one and now they are going to update again ...

Today I got the most serious problem...while driving for almost 200 klms with no issue I stopped the car to grab a coffee and then all assists got an error (lane, park, break assist) and last nut not least I got a message that the electric mode could not operate properly...

Thread resurrection! I get that on CarPlay (Waze) quite frequently... any fix known on here?
