Fabia radio upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just purchased my first car, a 2013 Fabia (SKODA FABIA S (60) 1198 (2013)). The radio is very dated and I would like to upgrade it if possible if possible to one with an aux/Bluetooth.

I am new to cars and also have a few queries,

1. Is there is a generic radio size for all cars or do I need a model/Skoda specific one?

2. I am based in Ireland and am wondering the best place to buy said radio and any other parts?

3. Are there any other useful/ recommended upgrades to keep the car in good shape?

4. Any upkeep recommendations/ tips for a new car owner?

thank you for your replies and help,

Kuba.

Even the Fabia S with the Swing Radio should have a AUX input (located next to the Hand Brake!) My 2013 Greenline II has one! I got a Bluetooth/DAB adaptor (£35 Nextbase from Amazon) and run an AUX cable inside the dash/console to the Jack.

Then Stream from my Phone!

Couldn't afford an Amundsen or Bolero upgrade!

oh I didn't know! Its away getting serviced so il have a look when it gets back. Thanks!

Cool, you can either plug your phone in with an aux-aux lead (cheap as chips on Amazon) or Bluetooth (there are loads on Amazon to choose from)

I think the Fitment is just Double-DIN size, but the facia will need finding (there's a few out there) I also think a special ISO to VAG lead is needed if you go with an after market radio, as VW Group cars use a different connector! I could be wrong on that though!!
