hi everybody…

 

So car started making these noises on startup ( like rattles ) see videos 

 

Also when selecting drive or reverse ( see videos )

 

car would lurch through an odd gear etc…but when I would brake hard going down the gears it wouldn’t.

 

i personally think it’s the flywheel as I’ve seen lots of videos on it online.

 

now the garage called me today to say it’s most likely not the flywheel but can’t say for sure! And don’t want to strip the box to find out it isn’t!

car is on 92k so I’m ringing with an answer in what to do tmorrow.

 

me personally thinks it is the flywheel and then they open the box will see it is.. if it isn’t it’s plan B but as most of the labour is done that shouldn’t be a problem?

 

Any thoughts people it’s kindly appreciated.

Update… garage won’t do the job for what ever reason they said it could be in the gearbox?

me personally still thinks it’s the flywheel.

 

any recommendations for a garage on the Wirral or near by folks?

So I’m thinking next step is to get somebody to take the mechatronics off to get them checked over as it’s cheaper then taking the box off again and go from there!!

So…update..

car lost all gears on a drive!

managed to get the car home after switching it on and off!

 

ran a scan and it looks like it’s my mechatronics have gone!

 

Need somebody to check the wiring etc but most likely will need a rebuild!
