New Toy!

Photo!

Friend and I bought a new toy, a Land Rover 110 Pickup at the weekend. Generlaly for off-roading and towing some big trailers.

Is a 1984 110 Pickup, massive V8 engine with LPG conversion and power-steering. Anyone else have a 4x4 for offroad/greenlaning/playing etc?

When I had my Disco, I used to be a member of the local Land Rover club. Did offroading most weekends and then used it on the road for the rest of the week :D Had to get the diesel as I needed some economy (25mpg  ) but it was certainly impressive how capable it was offroad with just some MT tyres on :D

Yeah, we're going to join one of the local clubs; have some friends on the inside :)

Also live about a mile away from the Billing Land Rover Show.

Hope you've got deep pockets if you go there - so many shiny things for sale

Tell me about it! Already been increasing ebay's profit margins buying up land rover stuff!

Have a Ford Explorer with a 4.0 v6 sohc lump and Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts which i was happily slipping and sliding around byways (and accidentally a bridleway too - oops!) all over the Isle of Wight at the weekend :D

Was the first time i've actually taken it properly off the black stuff and it was great! So capable its untrue. It's not a swb but then it's not specifically for off-roading, that's just an added bonus of owning a mini monster truck!

(that's not the proper tyres in the pic - old ones that were almost 'slicks')

Just bought some OS Explorer maps of Bucks only yesterday actually...

Excellent Dave.

I used to have a Hilux Surf, but rolled it sideways down a cliff in Wales. Doh.

Planning on finding some tracks in Bucks next? Is only the next county from me... apparently not much in Northants now.
