The Superb I purchased just over a week ago had a windshield replaced before I collected it.

When driving at high speeds, the wind noise is much more noticeable than any other previous car I've owned.

I was looking at the Touareg we have in the household- I've nothing else to compare it to at the moment, and it has these seals (or whatever they're called) along the sides of the windshield, in my Superb there isn't anything there, I'm just wondering if this is normal?

Check out the pictures, on the top there's a seal present, but on the sides you can just see an empty channel.

I'm on the original screen and the gaps look similar. I don't have any wind noise.

 

Check the trim around the windows too - if that's not fitted correctly (there was a recall) then it could be the cause.

The trim around all side windows? How would I know if it's not correctly fitted?

The front door trim can rub on the back door trim where they meet which can pop one of them off a little when opening the doors. Have a search on here for topics about trim.
