Featured Replies

had to sell my vrs and now im havin to put up with a crappy 216 rover lol. prob is my cluch is judderin. not all the time though, some days its worse then others, any ideas?

The clutch is probably fine, it will be the car that is shaking with parkinsons! (joke)

At what revs. and in which gears?

A new clutch shouldn't be too expensive really for a such an old engine/gearbox combination.

Try a few fast standing starts, to either bed it in, or kill it!

your not bein serious are ya! lol. tried all kinds. it will just teach me for buyin a rover!

Yup...

try it and see.....

If the clutch is already goosed it will still only cost you a new clutch...

It may have oil on the clutch plate, which will burn off!

It could be a bearing, thrust plate etc, or as on my old one, a bent spline.

Mine lasted 10,000 miles juddering every time I set off!

The car will be almost indestructible, just needing the odd few quid thrown at it.

Warped clutch plate. Often a manufacturing fault but unlikely in your case. Had it on a couple of cars. Worst when car is cold generally. Only real solution is a new clutch but sometimes getting a bit of heat into it helps a bit. Try slipping the clutch a bit at higher revs.
