Retrofitting Rear camera

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've recently acquired a Skoda Superb and wanted to retrofit a rear view camera. I've had a search on the forum and found multiple threads around this, however I don't feel comfortable attempting this myself or have any knowledge on Skoda's.

Can anybody recommend any garages around the north west who would be able to do this for me? happy to travel if required.

Thanks in advance

@SashaGrace would be someone to get in touch with 👍

Thank you @boydeee i've reached out to her now :)

There's one in Redditch, VW Retrofit, another member on here had his Superb done there. Both Sasha and this place installs the high line camera with washer.

Hello, question about retro fitting an OEM camera.

Will this invalidate the Skoda warranty on the car?

Hi, I am also looking to retro fit the reverse camera, happy to do it myself but will need it coding.

My Superb Sportline hatch has the rear wiper so at least I have the wash option, just wondering if I would need to purchase the wiring loom too or will it already be there?

You'll need to add a wiring loom for the camera :)

The camera wash tee's off the existing rear washer.

@langers2k Having looked, I can see the reverse camera looks identical to that for an Audi A4, will that fit and are the wiring looms the same between vehicles? I suspect as the Superb is the longest vehicle of them all it wil have to be specific?

Physically it might, although the A4 camera will have a different parameter/dataset on it so it may not work properly given how different the MMI and MIB radios are.

I got the one for my Octavia from this seller who was quite helpful: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000197729171.html

There was spare length in the loom so I just cut it down to size :)
