Frustrating morning with drivetrain error

Featured Replies

Into my 4 month old 2.5k mile dsg vrs this morning and hit the start button and starter motor went for around 10 seconds before engine fired with an error warning for the start/stop system.

Was going to work so continued on my journey which is only 8 odd miles and around halfway in a new error for drive system error and into limp mode.

Managed to pull in. Checked all fluids and everything seemed normal. Restarted car and everything back to normal and faults cleared from display. Will have to book dealer visit. Hopefully just a hiccup and not the start of anything more serious. Car is always driven sensibly and brought up to temp. I can put up with the odd software bugs in infotainment but don't want these sorts of problems .

I hope it's only a hiccup. Fingers crossed!

These cars are utter crap, all of them.

I have a courtesy Superb at the moment and it is constantly stalling itself for no reason, including once after I'd already gotten as far as engaging second gear leaving a junction. It refused to let me start the engine while coasting (with perplexed drivers behind) and I was given a message telling me to stop the car before attempting to restart it.

Yeah, on a 60mph single-lane country road, thank you very much.

Someone is going to be hurt or worse in one of these vehicles, there are too many issues at play while actually in motion.
