Where is the paint code sticker in the 2019/2020 KODIAQ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

As the title says, I'm having real trouble finding the paint code sticker for my 7-seater Kodiaq anywhere.

Many paint sites seem to suggest it's in the boot somewhere, but I've pulled out everything that is loose, including spare wheel, and I can't find it.

I've not removed the carpet lining surrounding the spare tire as it appears to be stuck down with adhesive.

Other suggestions is the driver / passenger footwell, or engine bay, but I just can't find it anywhere.

I suspect my car colour is Meteor Grey, the somewhat matt light grey colour, but would be nice to confirm it with the paint code.

I've got a couple of tiny scratches that I want to touch up.

Thanks

This is of no help I'm afraid, but I just had a quick look in my boot and there's no sticker where the above video shows it should be. It could be under the spare wheel in the well, but getting to that is a faff in my car.

If you get no suitable answers here, I'd be inclined to phone your dealer and ask them, or a decent car body repair shop would know I'd think.

Sadly Build Stickers in a Spare Tyre Well has gone.  Stickers in Service Books or Owners Manuals have gone.

But Skoda are 'Simply Clever' and might still do Ice Scrapers and Umbrellas.

So you need to use the VIN / Car Registration these days and know the colour and get the correct paint code.   That is progress for you.

Thanks for replying, chaps.

I ended up contacting my local dealer, they confirmed the paint code.

@totalnexis  You could share as it might help others.

Is your particular car 'Meteor Grey', and if so what is the paint code they gave you?

Apologies, that would help, wouldn't it!

Dealer confirmed colour is Steel Grey, which I understand is also Meteor Grey, from other posts on here and elsewhere. It's the non metallic paint.

Paint code is F7A M3.
