So after almost 9 weeks since I've placed order my new cat-back system has arrived from Germany. It's getting fitted on Saturday so there will be plenty of evidence both in video and picture form😎😈 also got certificate with it to say it's EU approved sport exhaust😛

They're only small boxes, so it should be quite a bit louder for you

Hope so...I'm actually quite nervous and hopefully I'll like it

I guess it will make a too aggressive sound when you open the valve in the central resonator...but at least it won't be a vacuum cleaner noise anymore

This is the same system but + downpipe....if its going to be anywhere near this sound I'm happy

It'll be interesting to see how close it gets to that Superb in the video as it has probably the best sound I've heard from this engine with any exhaust setup be it a Golf R, S3, Cupra or Superb.

But if I remember correctly some conversation here, the company said that part of it was due to the ugpraded downpipe as another Passat with the same cat-back but OEM downpipe sounded less aggressive.

Hope you get the result you're after and make sure to post some before/after clips

I'm also very curious mate. Yes and no....yes the car on youtube video has also different downpipe but the Arteon has different set up on exhaust valves- they open automatically once you go over 3k rpm, that's what the company assured me of.

Of course there will be videos and pictures😉

I really like that deeper sound in comfort mode  , but with open valve it sounds like...i don't know the right word, but here in Italy we call it "tamarro", it's a person who exaggerates with unnecessary modifications, for example that puts a spoiler on a Fiat Punto .

Don't get me wrong, obviously it's not like a spoiler on a Punto, but our sleepers doesn't deserve this unnecessary loud sound... IMO of course!

You are of course entitled to opinion and i absolutely get that it may not be everyone's cup of tea ( my missus is one of them😆) don't worry no offence taken😎

To my defence...i bought superb sportline 280 for what it is...quickest Skoda  and only thing that is missing in my eyes is louder exhaust. On the few occasions i do put it in Sport mode i really do want to have more exhaust note. Otherwise deep note of exhaust with closed valves will be fine with me... If i wanted quiet car i would bought L&K
