It might eventually work!

Featured Replies

Having been back at the dealers for three working days now, they have admitted that there is something wrong. They are having to clear everything from the electronics - they said something more technical than that but that's the summary - and getting some new stuff downloaded.

It ought to be fixed by close of play tomorrow.

Whether I will ever come to like it again is something else.

I find when something lets you down, thats it you will nwver have confidence in it again, good luck.

Not sure about never. Confidence comes back in time.  When I got my current Mk3 in 2017, it was back in the dealer with an EML displaying after on 40 miles. After a few days, I got it back and some 39,900 miles later it’s never missed another beat.

I'm really losing it now. The dealer still has my Skoda Kamiq and has since Friday. No courtesy car! It has taken them this long to establish that what I have been telling them is correct, i.e. that it's rubbish. They think it might be fixable but they need a new electronic bit that is currently unavailable.
They will be calling back today or "maybe tomorrow" to tell me what they intend to do.
In the meantime, I have lost the opportunity to buy a car that would have suited me and I'm too fed up to start looking again.
Ggrrrr!!!

Hi Rod, why have you not been offered a courtesy car, have you tried pushing for one?

It was supposed to be sorted same day and I'm working from home so I didn't push. If not sorted today, I will be making lots of noise.

At the very least, once you have one of their cars, it will concentrate their minds to sorting yours ASAP.
