Cigarette Lighter Location

Anyone know where the 12v power socket is located on a 2021 Octavia Estate?

There is only one 12v outlet - in the boot, on the right hand side high up under the rail for the sliding cover.

Brill, cheers for that.

Couldn’t make it up. The power socket is in the boot, I went to put air in the tyres and the Skoda tyre inflater is not long enough to reach from the boot power socket to the front near side tyre.

That is absolutely priceless. My first thought when I read the answer was 'I'd have to get a new inflator with a longer reach, but I didn't think the supplied one would be an issue. I guess the stock answer would be you should swap a puncture repair to the rear, without a jack or any associated tools of course :D

To be fair, it’s the Skoda tyre inflator from my previous 2018 Skoda. But it shows the sense of only having 1 power socket in the boot.

Awww that's not as fun. Mind you, does the emergency kit come with an inflator or just the gunk?

Confused myself

There is an inflator in the boot, but as it is under the front part of the floor board I didn’t bother to take it out and used my Michelin one, which barely reaches the rear ones.

Can it be changed to work even if car is not on/running?

12v in boot always live, had my dash cam plugged in until hard wired.

Oh great!

Just tried the inflator supplied with the car, it reaches all 4 wheels easily without even having to go through the cabin.
No problem as far as I can see.

Its not hard to get to the inflator either, just fold the rear seat and lift up the flap  behind the seat base.

Just discovered this issue, same as some others my tyre inflator doesn't reach from the boot to the offside front tyre, bit of a strange decision to leave a 12v socket out of the cab. That and the fact that I have no rear wiper are just crazy oversights IMHO

What inflator are you using? Like others I had to bring my non-Skoda supplied one over the rear seats (it's an estate) and through the cabin and out through the passenger door, still didn't have much to spare.

For this reason, I bought a £25 portable, battery-powered inflator that can also be powered from the 12V cigarette lighter outlet – and when the cord is not long enough, you have the battery. It can be charged via USB-C. There is a plethora of these Chinese-made ones available under different brands.

I could give that a try to be fair, bit of an arse on though eh? 🙄

Cordless tyre inflator..  £13 on eBay.  Has a torch.

Simple solution Ebay £6.99 for a 3.6m cable.

I think this is what Skoda call 'simply clever'

I've got an ancient tyre inflator from Halfords that has plenty of cable but I still need to run it through the cabin to reach the NSF tyre 😕

Use an extension lead at £7 from the bay it's not going to break the bank. It's what I've had to do and it's annoying but it solves the problem.
