Top man . Much appreciated

He does the bookings by area at covered factory yards etc..so you may have to wait a while but there's always cancellations

Thats an S2000 bonnet. For a Fabia s2000 rally car. I'm pretty sure @32KOFDATA managed to get his s2000 bonnet used off an actual rally car.

Yeah it’s a S2000 bonnet direct from Skoda. Not cheap  and you need to go through an application process which goes to the head of Skoda motorsport to decide if they want to sell to you or not too

Is there actually any record of them not allowing someone to purchase one?

A proper s2000 bonnet is 4kg lighter than the standard bonnet. Was yours bought for the weight reduction aspect or the ventilation?

Don’t know didn’t ask :D

id be amazed if it was 4kg of a difference. Mostly ventilation as I was having issues with oil temps but now I have the issue of it running too cool so the cooler is taped up mostly 🤣

Would give my left nut for a true carbon bonnet for one of these. The s2000 bonnet is cool, but the vents I think are too much on a street car. If only there was a smooth version of the s2000 bonnet, or better yet a smooth carbon one.

If it was smooth then it would just be a normal bonnet :D rally ones are still steel.

Seems excessive, it's not actually that hard to make one using the existing steel bonnet to make a one-use mould, you then lay it up using pre-preg and vacuum bag it.

Getting it cooked is the tricky bit, it would probably fit in a powder coaters autoclave hanging vertically though and it doesn't need to be very hot.

Would be a very cool pet project for me to take on, obviously pointless on a stock power diesel, but very cool nonetheless. Still sort of amazed that there arent any readily available for the fabia, surely its a popular enough car, and theres been carbon bonnets made for less desireable cars.
