3 pin charging cable for occasional use

Featured Replies

Very handy for having a car charged to 100% before starting a longer trip or having the car pre heated and fully charged before setting off.

Being a 'cheap cable' should make no difference if that means not a rip off priced one, just as long as the correct / quality cable and & not some 'copy' / rip off item.

Will the app not stop the charge when full or anyway can communicate via smart apps to turn off socket . My house is pretty much on all smart sockets including the dedicated outside socket . Or I suppose it’s just a case of when notified fully charged turning it off

Yes, my point was more about charging it to 100% then leaving the car undriven charged that high for an extended period. This is not good for the battery. If you only intend to charge to 80%, then there is no issue as the car will tell the charger to stop when the battery reaches 80%.

Does anyone have the ability for 400v 3 phase charging?

I was looking at what lead to get as i want a multi voltage charger for the enyaq.

I would need a 3 pin plug for emergencies, 400v 3 phase for charging at work (I've realised that I have easy access to 32a 400v red sockets), and if possible a 230v camping plug.

The cost from skoda would  be £645 for the iv combi adaptor, which comes with a 3 pin plug and a 32a blue camping plug. The 400v 3 phase red adaptor for it is £180, and a 32a to 16a blue plug reducer is around £20 to £30.

I wonder if anyone has seen other solutions that are cheaper for the same thing or doesnt involve 2 or 3 different cables.

Yes I have now set to 80% then if I know I will need full then 100% it seems to auto shut off charge so should be ok for 100% night before a long drive
