Additional software options

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. What are the current post delivery upgrades the car can have in terms of assistants maps etc.

I saw on some of the articles there is a "shop" in the infotainment but no information on what you can buy(assuming the needed hw is there, but software lock exist)

In ODB ELEVEN there is no support for mk4 yet. But older models have a lot of features to activate for example.

First off, even having the Shop in your menu seems to be dependent on which variant of infotainment system you have and/or which car variant/spec, as my MK4 SE FE had the Swing radio and no shop, while the loan Superb I had recently had an Amundsen and did have the Shop in the menu.

I couldn't access it sadly as you need to be set as a primary user to do so, which I wasn't mucking about with on a hire car, so no idea what is on offer in full, although others have mentioned LED lighting is available.

Good to know. Ours octavia is set for 24th week. I hope it will be here mid july. Strangely in Bulgaria we have the edition class(above style) it includes the Bolero and the matrix.lights. I am interested in some features that might be useful like camera traffic sign recognition at least. If someone has bought anything it will be nice to know what is already available. Bolero shares the same hw as columbus but the maps are locked.(compare the hw specs for media files and you will see) bolero.will have maps end of year for sure

I think the only two things to buy  currently in the shop are light assist and additional colors for ambient lights.

I think someone mentioned elsewhere that if you look behind your rear view mirror (from outside the car) you can see if there is a camera there. If there is, you may be able to get the traffic sign recognition. My MK4 definitely didn't have one.

I thought all have it. Here the line assist is included even in the most basic configuration and it requires the multifunctional camera as far as i know

Yes, that’s all I found in the shop on my SEL FE.

Sign recognition is bundled with maps so to get it you will probably need to buy both. I wouldn't bother with it, Waze is just as good if not better.
