Just a quick question.

 

What temperature would you expect the Scala to show on a motorway run at a steady 70mph (ok, ok....80)?

Around town when warmed up mine usually shows 95 degrees but noticed today it was up to 102/103 degrees on the M40 o a run and it was only about 19 degrees outside. Hadn't noticed it being that high before.

Should I be concerned?

Which engine? I know about diesels but not petrols.

1.5 petrol 

Sounds right for the indicated oil temperature.

Once you are slowed down the oil should be showing back down to about the 92*oC once the fans are running and the coolant system is doing its job.

It might be up at 110+*oC in hot weather at 70+mph.
