Toodled home on a 25 mile journey last night at a steady 50mph with no stops and 4 roundabouts and managed from the display 67.8mpg which is the most I have ever got from a petrol engine during my motoring life. OK, if the accuracy is in doubt it is a reference marker on what is achievable. If 10% optimistic I can live with it. The Roomster is not the best aerodynamic shape out there but it competes well with the hybrid and mild hybrid technology on offer today. 

Fantastic if you could get it to actually go 678 miles from 10 gallons / 45.46 litres of petrol.

Our 300 mile trip to Cornwall will be interminable. At motorway speeds I normally get 53mpg so some sacrifice

There were threads in the Citigo section with some very impressive Hypermiling from 1.0 n/a petrol engine cars.
