On various social media sites, there is a message from OBD 11, that from all new sales of the Pro From 15/06/21 this will become an yearly Pro Plan subscription.

all current pro units bought before 15/06/21 will continue with lifetime access.

I don’t know if this is correct, but just a heads up to those possibly thinking of buying

I don't live 'off grid' but just had an email about this, it made me think my current pro was about to expire unless i paid again.  Your "all current...." Sentence made me stop and think and realise the emails are purely marketing. Thank you!
