Timing belt change

Featured Replies

Greetings, my first post :)

I've changed my timing belt on a 2013 Octavia Scout mk 2 with 2.0 tdi cr engine, code CFCH.

I now have the "crankshaft position camshaft position correlation (bank 1 sensor a)" error P0016

I double checked crank, camshaft, fuel pump and tensioner so I'm reluctant to strip the whole lot again until I've ruled out other potential faults first. My neighbour has Vcds but hasn't used it much yet so 2 questions, where is the plug from the camshaft sensor? I want to check that. Question 2, bearing in mind we have little knowledge of VCDS yet, is there anything we can do to check the timing with it.

Thanks in advance.

Sorted, turns out it was one tooth out. Nice to know that the belt can be re timed without a complete strip down.
