Passenger Window

Featured Replies

Hi, I have 2013 Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo 1.2 TSI

I have had the car valeted and since then the window judders to close or closes fully then opens straight away by itself.
The control works but doesn’t stop the window opening and closing by itself.

Could there be water inside the control?

There has never been any issues until after the valet.

Have you tried doing a reset on the "close position"? It's someplace in the driver's handbook.

Two things to do,  firstly the channels that the glass run in need some lubrication with a rubber friendly oil  you need something like duck oil NOT WD40 as this will swell the rubber channels and make it worse.

You then need to reset the window by ignition on open window but keep switch pressed down until you hear the window go click click click then close window and again keep switch up until you hear click click click, turn ignition off and the try the window as normal, if it's the same go through it again it sounds brutal but it's recommenedin the handbook to reset to 1 push full open / close
