Help identifying broken wire below battery (MK1 1.9tdi Octavia)

HI,

I am currently trying to sort out an air con problem where the compressor will not run and has no power to its clutch.

I have found this wire that is down below the battery just to the side of the left hand fan (passenger side in the UK) the wire has rubbed through on one of the brackets below.

Obviously I will cut out the damage and solder the joint and make weather proof, I was just wondering what the wire does, I think it is to do with the fans am I correct.

I currently got a 2008 octavia vrs but I've become a bit disabled over the years need my hip replaced ect Now I need an automatic and I can get a car on the mobility scheme. Has anyone got experience with this. I like the look of the new leons and noticed you can get them and they cover the insurance and everything. but would i be better off getting a used one and putting the money towards that instead

Hi everyone, I have a 2016 Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI with Climatronic, and I'm encountering a frustrating A/C issue. Problem: After driving at highway speeds (90 km/h or higher) for a prolonged time, the A/C stops cooling. The air coming from the vents is the same flow volume but no longer cold, although the system appears to still be "on." However, when I drive in city traffic or idle in a traffic jam, the A/C works perfectly and cools the cabin as expected. What I’ve Checked: No fault codes in the

Hi Folks, Both the front and rear window washers on my MK3 Fabia not working but window wipers do operate. Google it and go through the last posts but no clue. 1) No pump sound 2) My friend help to test the fuses no. 22, 27, 31 and 46, are all fine 3) At pump, the voltage around 11.x V but it will dropped to around 0.5v when turn on the wipers 4) The washer reservoir is full 5) The car battery replaced last summer with normal 12.6V Any idea please, Many thanks in advance
