Dog cam

Featured Replies

It’s a bit random but when the dog is in the back of the car I can’t see her from the drivers seat I have a dog guard and I have the lower floor in the load area ,I was thinking of getting a spy cam to link to my phone has any one had experience of these ?

Would a suitably placed mirror help?

Seems less faff :)

I’ve tried one not not very successful

Keep your eyes on the road where the real hazards exist especially the myriad other people staring into their phones while driving.

You could try placing the mirror at the rear of the car facing down & in the field of view of your rear view mirror, that way when you glance to see the traffic behind you would see the dog at the same time.

I had a cheap suction mirror for checking on our pup when he was young. He always stayed harnessed in the back seat though.

Any reason why you need to keep an eye on the dog? Ours was quite vocal when he wasn't happy and using your phone to look at him when driving is going to increase any risks ;)

No different than looking at a sat nav screen ,and as said I’ve tried a mirror and the field of view wasn’t that good

Roof rack?

My dash cam is a mirror one with an extra rear camera on a long cable. Pretty sure you can set it to watch the rear. Would be easy to set it up to point at the doggo.
