No trip reset

Recommended Posts

The trip test button has stopped working. It wouldn't annoy me only for the fact you need it to reset service light. Is there another way to reset this without using the ignition and trip button ? Thanks in advance..

The service now light can be reset by the dealer (or equipped independent) when plugged in during a service, you are not supposed to just cancel it and not do any servicing.

I doubt this is what the op is doing.

Many people service their own vehicle and require the ability to reset the service indicator.

Pretty sure vcds/obd11 has the ability.

Thanks for the reply guys. I do service my own cars as MarkyG82 mentioned. It's good to know you can reset using diagnostics. Have anyone heard of this button failing before, or ever been replaced on the 3V.
