Karoq infotainment requires activation

Featured Replies

Hoping someone can help, I've had my Karoq over 2 years, still under warranty. Up until now everything has worked flawlessly.

On my way home tonight the bluetooth cut out, the android auto stopped working and now the nav says it requires an activation code.

I've contacted the dealer who want it for diagnostics, but I wanna go in armed. I've reset the infotainment head to factory but getting nowhere.

Thanks in advance

That all sounds a little worrying - let's trust it's something trivial and, more importantly, cheap to fix.

These forums are great for snippets of knowledge / inside information etc., but sometimes it can be a bit scary - a bit like reading medical books.......

I’d be pulling the battery to the car to completely reset everything then re-test.

Alternatively, just let the dealer fix it, that’s what the warranty is for.

There are precautions to be taken before disconnecting the battery, or malfunctions can ensue. I can only recall the need to have the windows shut, but I think there were more.

"Before disconnecting the battery, close the electric tailgate, all the windows, the sliding / tilting roof and the electric sunshade - otherwise malfunctions of equipment elements may occur."

Pretty standard for any car really.
