Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?

Featured Replies

I’ve been watching this too. Considering the amount of cars that were stockpiled there at the beginning of January.

I believe mine has been there since it was built in August, so hopefully it’s now back at factory to be completed, along with all those that have been waiting a longtime for their Kodiaq’s.

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

Regards what code stage mine is at, I’m sorry, I have no idea. Next time I get an update I’ll ask the dealer.

Had an update yesterday that mine, Sportline ordered 11Nivember and originally given a build week if 1/22 is currently scheduled for week 7. If all goes well it's expected here in April.

Thanks mate 👍🏼

I had an update yesterday that my mid June 2021 order Kodiaq was now on a ship bound for the UK. Last time I checked in early Dec 2021 I didn't even have a build date so not sure how or why it has progressed so quickly, not that I'm complaining.

Next step will be UK customs which I was told could take anywhere between a few days to a few weeks.

I put an order in November and Skoda have now accepted the order but there’s no build date yet.

I’m just waiting patiently!

ours was order through my wifes work (Police) so bought outright but through a scheme/broker

i know my order details have priority against it on the skoda database as i managed to see this for myself but hasnt made a difference

The Skoda factory have no access to the method or way of paying for the car, I have checked. It is staggering how disorganised and random they are?

Annoyingly im having to continually extend my lease (VW) for the same monthly amounts but also be responsible for anything that goes wrong now its out of warranty another punch in the face

Exactly the same as me, including MOT and new tyres!!

Same order process - ordered in May.

Was given a build week in August, put off until early September. That was dropped back to late September.

Heard nothing so asked where car was - it was "awaiting build week".

It's been the same ever since, on the edge of cancelling. So many orders since ours fulfilled, their process is infuriating and unfair.

Oh, and the current car cost us £2.5k when the clutches packed in whilst waiting...

😮 tahts my worst nightmare. I spoke to VW about having extended warranty and they said they couldnt. I explained why should i pay to which they said the garage the car came from may honour work done but thats over a 200mile round trip as it lease the car is sourced from anywhere. Its that bad i contemplate having sitting on the drive and not driving it to go wrong but then im paying 350+ for a new big white plant pot effectively.

Its an absolute disgrace, i dont think anyone holds them accountable for the situation the world is in with semi conductors but as you say their handling has been a joke and they know they can just hide behind the covid/semi conductor issue!

I wouldn't mind semi-conductor delays, nothing can be done.

But some of us waiting months and months when others get their cars in under 6, having ordered well after us? Completely wrong.

My last communication with Skoda direct was them saying nothing we can do, we can't talk to the factory - here's the details for the Motor Ombudsman!

absolute dogs dinner. If we weren't getting such a good deal i'd cancel that and tbh i think there's few 7 seaters out there that look as good as the sportline especially for under 40k!

That's our problem, it's the Kodiaq or nothing - particularly the way used prices have gone. Considered ordering something else, but what if we then just wait for that too?

I looked and looked at alternatives and nothing sensibly priced. Having to put new tyres on for what should be 2 months of ownership left! They are taking the pxss!

Hello All,

new member here. I was following this topic for some time as reference what's going on across Europe with Kodiaq deliveries.

I'm from Bulgaria and decided to share the situation from Eastern Europe.

Kodiaq FL 2.0 TSI, 190hp Vision (Vision is package available only for our region I believe, and closest reference is L&K).

Most important it was the last chance of getting Canton + Side assist.
Ordered 6th of November 2021. Delaer reached out at December 6 with proposal to remove Canton + Side assist with the assurance I'll have the car around New Year.
I declined since it's no rush for me. Today I received an update that Skoda Factory have not accepted the order yet, hence no build date. Even further the dealer is not sure that they will be able to provide the Canton and Side assist at all, so there's a great chance I'm just waiting for nothing.
Sorry for any punctual or grammar errors, but it is what it is...

That's awful, communication from factory seems abysmal. It's hardly difficult to message back and forth, it's ridiculous.

Grammar and spelling is better than most UK nationals, don't worry 😂
