I just got call from my dealer (Latvia).  Canton system is the only problem now (Skoda can't provide it now).  So, I removed Canton from my configuration. Will see...

I did not have canton in my config and still no estimate.

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

Canton may well be not available but it sure as hell isn't the only problem !

Who knows, on top of everything else, Omicron may just put a halt to those who already have dates.

I agree. Probably Canton is simply "the most hopeless" problem

Ugh Skoda is causing a lot of headaches... Have just received a call from my dealer with an estimate of march/april 2022... Ordered end of june 21 but registered beginning july 21 as an order.

I ordered my Kodiaq early June, had a built date of week beginning 16th August and delivery expected in September. This changed to delivery due November.

Now it appears Skoda have went into radio silence, dealer not getting any tangible info, Skoda UK web chat won’t give any info, and Skoda UK customer services won’t give out any info on individual orders either. Meanwhile there’s 100’s  of Kodiaq’s parked up in the snow at Kralove airfield and more seem to get added daily. Total shambles if you ask me.

What’s the build week? I have been told week 8 this morning. It’s come forward one week

You saying that, a colleague made me laugh yesterday saying that by the end of 2022 we’ll have booster juice for blood off we get 3-4 variants a year! 😂

This is such a crazy thread.

Skoda is causing a lot of headaches? That's because the situation the world currently finds itself in is causing Skoda ( and every other manufacturer ) lots of headaches.

When someone asks Skoda " when will my car be delivered " and Skoda replies " I don't know ", then people come on here and complain. If Skoda  give a date and then miss that date, people come on here and complain. They're trying to build cars but don't have enough components, and people come on here to complain.

This must be an absolute nightmare for the planning depts at ever manufacturer who use the 'just-in-time' method of production. On top of that, by allowing you to customise a car with various options ) that has to make the problem even worse. Give them a break, I'm sure they're trying their very best.

If people still aren't happy then simply cancel your order and buy a car from another manufacturer, preferably one who's only option is what colour of paint would you like.

I've just been told my mid-August ordered car has left the factory, however I was never even given a build date.  Went straight from 'not accepted by the factory' to 'built'.  VRS but without any of the problem options like Canton or 360 cameras.  This is way better than I was expecting and seems to have surprised the dealer too.

Yeah... first my dealer knew about mine was when it was sat in Germany waiting for a boat over here. He was a bit shocked too.

Skoda employee ?  :)

I was said at the order it would take max 3 months and no issues like the kodiaq, kamiq, octavia... yess i asked specifically!

When we were nearing the delivery time there was no info at all. Now recently it suddenly became march/april 2022!!  If he was honest and said minimum 6 months or even just say it will also be a problem delivery then i would have taken the dsg car that was not my spec from the showroom anyway. But hey to cancel now is to have nothing at all as the showroom is empty... and cars are only getting more expensive...

This exact **** happened with my previous order that took 10 months and also only was going to be 3 months... I would think another dealer was going to be direct and honest... for me it was obvious it had to have a delay too but no i was promised it wasn't the case.

Honestly next car will be another brand and see how it goes on the other side as Skoda charges premium prices now too.

I have a 200TDI L&K on order which has 360 camera and Canton as standard. I have just been told that it is production. (Ordered Sept 2021).

Skoda are not some Johnny-come-lately,  they have been building cars for over a century,

They are 'Simply Clever'.

Over the past decade they have managed to improve on their Black Hole Ordering System to the point that nobody has an idea how they manage to manage things so badly.

Even in times of plenty they can make the whole getting a new vehicle a lottery and guessing game.

I was certainly scratching my head when I read about them starting production of the facelift Kodiaq in India this month. They've got cars covered in snow sat on a runway waiting for parts...  and yet, they've got cars rolling off the production line else where?

Just had news that my standard 1.5 SE L that I ordered early Sept has been given a provisional week 8 build so hopefully will get delivery at the end of march

no update still showing order accepted by factory awaiting build week. I had asked Santa instead of presents to send his helpers to the workshop their and build my car (along with taking some chips) but seems i asked too much 😞 - may get a new new facelift at this rate

Not impossible some of us are going to end up with the MY23 spec if the delays continue, which I'm guessing is going to be fitted with the mandatory speed limiter ☹️

speed limiter? for all speeds on different roads? being thick here
