Superb III - Tailgate Electric Struts noisy - 'mechanical noise' is probably best way to describe it - sounds like bearings or gears running dry.

Not happy at the thought of paying ridiculous cost of new struts.

At one point some kind person posted a 'fix' on this site and it worked .... Help!

Could it be as simple as using silicone spray to 'lubricate' the seals? Polish would be a good reserve too!

I've had this for a few years have a hunt I have a thread somewhere. Basically whenever we have warm weather they groan like my knees ! Dealer didnt seem concerned and they are still OK.
