Hi all,

Found this site whilst looking with interest at Octavia vRS's and thought i'd come and say Hi prior to asking stupid learner questions which I hope you will be able to answer.

I come from Volvo land, having had 3 T5's and a D5 and after 4 yrs have decided to move to something else which has better handling and is a bit pokier bottom end.

I'm just looking for opinions really on whether an Octavia would be a good match power wise even though as standard they are 180bhp 1.8T (I'm not a number cruncher, and view real world driving more than statistics on paper).

Not sure how the octy I vrs compares to your volvos (I drive its little fabia brother) but I reckon with a remap it'd be a very quick and practical car. I'm sure some octy vrs owners will be along to give more meaningful advice.
